Trefriw Woollen Mills 21 miles (route map) 01492640462  A family run business since 1859. Making traditional Welsh tapestry bedspreads, tapestry patterns by the meter, tweeds and travelling rugs from raw wool using machines which are over 50 years old, and powered by a vintage water turbine. See the products being woven on a power loom, and view the water driven turbine which generates electricity to power the machinery. Visit the shop to buy items woven on site together with soft furnishings, garments and accessories. The weavers Garden contains labelled plants which provide fibres, natural dyes, soaps and textile tools.
